The Focus 2 is a full over-ear (circumaural) headset, and that form factor is its second advantage. The earcups surround your ears rather than pressing on them, with plush leatherette cushions that distribute pressure evenly and seal out ambient noise. At roughly 175 grams it’s well-balanced for its size, and most wearers can keep it on comfortably through back-to-back meetings.

Over-ear designs run a little warmer than the on-ear Jabra Evolve2 models and add some bulk, which is the only reason it doesn’t score even higher. For a headset built around calls, the Voyager Focus 2 sounds genuinely good for music and media too. The hybrid ANC — combining microphones inside and outside the earcups — is a real, effective system rather than a token feature, and it’s a meaningful step up for the wearer over the no-ANC Jabra Evolve2 65. It isn’t pitched as an audiophile or music-first headphone, and the consumer-grade AirPods Pro 3 still lead the field on outright sound and noise cancelling, but the Focus 2 is more than capable for the work it’s built around.

Bottom line on audio: Clean 40 mm sound and genuinely effective three-level hybrid ANC. Better for the wearer than non-ANC office headsets, if a notch behind consumer audio specialists.

The Focus 2 includes Poly’s BT700 USB dongle, which is the key to its reliability on calls: it creates a dedicated, low-latency wireless link to your computer instead of leaning on the laptop’s built-in Bluetooth, and it carries certified call controls so answer, end, and mute work natively in your meeting app. Bluetooth Multipoint keeps it connected to your computer and your phone simultaneously, switching automatically for a mobile call.

A genuinely useful touch is the set of smart sensors: the headset detects when you take it off and can auto-pause music, auto-answer a call when you put it on, and mute when you set it down. Range on the dongle comfortably covers a home office. It’s an excellent connectivity package — just shy of the very top mark, which the Jabra Evolve2 75 claims with its slightly broader business feature set.

Bottom line on connectivity: An included USB dongle, multipoint, and clever on-head sensors make for a stable, convenient link — among the best in the guide.

Battery life is rated at up to 19 hours of talk time and 40 hours of listening on a charge (talk time eases to about 16 hours with ANC on) — still comfortably a full workday. A full recharge takes about two hours over USB-C, and an optional charging stand (included on some bundles) makes topping up effortless.

Poly is a long-established name in business audio with a solid reliability record and ongoing firmware support through its Poly Lens software, so the Focus 2 is dependable gear for daily use. It trails the battery champion of our lineup — the 35-hour Jabra Evolve2 65 — and its warranty is shorter than some rivals’, which keeps it a step below the very top here, but for the vast majority of users a full-day-plus battery is more than enough.

Bottom line on battery & reliability: A full-workday battery (less with ANC on), fast USB-C charging, and Poly’s established reliability. Solid, if behind the long-runtime leaders.

Day-to-day controls are handled by physical buttons and a volume wheel on the earcups, plus the smart sensors that automate muting and answering. The Poly Lens app (desktop and mobile) manages EQ, ANC levels, firmware updates, and settings, and the headset is certified for Microsoft Teams and works cleanly with Zoom and other platforms.

Two things hold this category back from a higher mark. First, unlike the Jabra Evolve line, the Focus 2 has no integrated busylight — a genuinely useful do-not-disturb signal in a shared home that its closest rival includes. Second, it carries a flagship price. It’s worth it for the class-leading microphone, but buyers who don’t need the absolute best mic can get most of the way there for less with the Jabra Evolve2 65.
